[WINDOWS] .ts file plays when read from disk, but not via Upnp
#1
Dear all,

First I'd like to say - great product!!! Working software DMP/DMRs seem to be rare - I spent some time looking & am positively surprised how much of it works in XBMC!

My setup: I'm using twonky 5.0.68 as media server on my Buffalo Linkstation Live. Samsung UE40-7090 is a DNLA client, now also XBMC on Win XP SP2. I'm exploring the various streaming restrictions of TV - so I'm interested in streaming only. XBMC is proving an excellent tool to show what files work end-to-end, thus identifying the deficiencies of the tv client.

Now for the bug I encountered. I can successfully view a .ts file (produced by Dreambox) when xbmc is reading it via a samba mount, however the same file fails to play (nothing is displayed) if I try to play is via Upnp.

Video stream is mpgv 720x576, 2 audio streams, mpga and ac3.

User 'Crocodile' already mentioned that .ts streaming is broken here:

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid....ts&page=2

But I don't think any action followed.

Should this be raised as a bug report? If so I'd be happy to provide debug log
and the .ts file if required.

regards,
ff

I forgot to mention: The same file does play when the TV is the renderer, so the Upnp server seems to be behaving ok.

Any comments??
