arjan,
your gzipped files seem to be bad. i uncompress them and they only uncompress to a single large file without an extension?

i'm assuming they are a set of files and/or folders?

can you rar them or something?

also,
it would be cool if you could put together a readme about the files and how to setup the script. i have no idea what the separate packages do and if i need them.

thanks!

hi,
i have same sort of bug-report for the onlinestreams.nl site.
stream #360 is not shown in his "genre" category.
but it is shown in the "media types" category.

i guess it has something to do with his name.

and b.t.w. is there a better solution for same streams/video_clips, all from the same site, then a single stream entry for each one ?

nice work,
ayn :kickass:

affini, my .tgz are not corrupt or something, i think your windows "unpacker" may not know how to correctly handle .tgz files.
the large file is a .tar file.

a readme or some quide (faq/howto/install) would be nice, i write it on my virtual todo list.

arjan

hello,

i _did_ find #360 both in media and in genre main selection.
however, the genre where it belongs to is on the second genre-page, perhaps you overlooked that? (genres are not sorted _yet_ when displaying)

ps: i tested this with with an unregistered playerid, and a registered playerid (as it may differ)

at this point there is no other way then a single stream entry for each stream/clip. it's in my mind to make something to "import a site", but it needs some logic which may be different for each site. that's why i didn't start implementing yet.
however i _can_ make it a bit easyer/less timecomsuming, by adding in the section "edit my streams" a button "save as new stream".
the you only would to start editing your stream, make a few changes, and press "save as new stream".
is that something you would like?

i'd just added a function "save as new stream" in "edit your your streams", which may save a lot of time when adding similar streams.

arjan,
thanks for the help. my archive extractor is working fine. the gzip'd file (the .tar) did not have an extension on the file. thus, in windows, the file is unrecognizable. as soon as i put the .tar on the end, it extracted perfectly.

not sure why you "zipped" it twice?

anyway, a readme would help.

here's another bug:
when i try to play the same stream two times in a row the whole thing freezes when displaying this in the dialogue:
Quote:opening video decoder: (dmo video codecs
dmo dll supports vo optimizations o 1

i made a log of the entire session, from when i executed the .py file if that's any help:

also, there's got to be some way of forcing the bitrate.
some streams play in the intended broadband quality (320x240 for the streams i've added), while others are scaled down to 192x144 with terrible sound quality as well.
this might be an mplayer thing though.

latest "onlinestreams-version" is from 5 october 2004, so i thing this _is_ the latest version, and there are no updates.
the original kml browser is last updated at may 2004 i suppose.

hi,

i need some help (i'm not realy a pytjon/xbmc script writer)

for the modified kmlbrowser.py i'd like to have a automatic quality feedback for each stream just played. for that i need some good/bad return code for the actual player command.

it's about this code part:
Quote:def playmedia(url):
try:
pls = xbmc.playlist(0)
pls.clear()
pls.load(downloadplaylist(url))
player = xbmc.player()
player.play(pls)
except:
return none

after (which i think is the actual play command) "player.play(pls)", i'd like to query/post an url based on the return code of the player function.

something like (shelscript code):
Quote:player.play(pls)
if [ "$?" == "0" ]
then
curl http://www.onlinestreams.nl/kml.php&action=feedback&return=ok
else
curl http://www.onlinestreams.nl/kml.php&action=feedback&return=notok
fi

can anyone give me a hint, or perhaps give my some actual code please?

thanks in advance,

greetings,

arjan

people,

i updated the kmlbrowser and my http://www.onlinestreams.nl website to make a atomatic feedback function to work.
now if a certen number people can't play a stream url it get's disabled.
this way, dead links are cleaned-up automagically. the original stream poster will get a notifier.

this may largely improve the http://www.onlinestreams.nl database with only working stream pointers in the end.

so please upgrade your kml browser.
you can download it at:
http://www.onlinestreams.nl/software/kml...0050109.py
or in the software section when you're loggon on.

greetings,

arjan
