some files of a japanese name are not played.

pattern 1.
including the character that contains 0x5c in the second byte (ex. 0x835c )

pattern 2.
including the character that contains 0x40 in the second byte (ex. 0x8140 )

is there any place i could download any other unicode font but arial, that can be used in xbmc ?

i have install a april build xbmc

but i don't see there is a font folder in this path:

xbmc\media\font

where should i place this chinese font(arialuni.ttf)?

can someone tell me the right place to copy arialuni.ttf this font file to, so i can see the chinese file name?

that is the right place. if the directory doesn't exist, create it.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
