Depends on what you actually want it to do.
I use TV Rename. Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forums before posting. Do NOT e-mail Team-XBMC members asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules. For troubleshooting and bug reporting, make sure you read this first |

MIP works well for smaller numbers of shows, with larger numbers the command line works better.
The renamer does a decent job, if the name is already close enough, tvrename i have not tried. Universal Media Manager (i.e. umX) tv show support will rock when it's done. It's already better then MIP's and it's not even an Alpha version yet

Something is needed quickly I think. At the moment my hopes are pinned on Media Companion 2 getting TV in the next week or so.
The only 2 I can think of at the moment are Media Reader and MIP. I always have trouble using Media Reader because of the Java base and I find MIP too bloated for my tastes (Sorry Fekker! But its been a while since I used it I admit). Ember is great for Movies but is taking eternity adding tiny tiny bits all the time to the movie section instead of doing TV. MC2 started about a month after Ember yet has finished Movies and will have TV out shortly while Ember is still fannying about in Movies. |
