Scraper issue

I've never had a major issue with xbmc before but this is driving me nuts.

I just built a new htpc, i have 3 htpcs and 2 old xbox based machines, i was replacing one of the older boxes with a new box...I have a standalone setup, minimal ubuntu jaunty 32 bit.

My media sources are samba shares.

I originally setup the xbmc from the ppa's When i try to add my Highres TV folder, it just says:

Downloading Tv show Information
Scanning for new content

But it never moves..it never gets any further.

THINGS I'VE TRIED:

i've tried upgrading to SVN (which is what i have installed now) Still no go, i've tried adding the samba details to both the Settings/network/smb AND to the share itself, i've tried to save the share directly with this format:

smb://user:password@server/share

nothing works....i thought that perhaps the scaper site was down but that is not the case..does anyone have any idea what is going on here?

tvdb seems to be down, pick a different scraper.

I'm having the same problem. I've tried all the different TV scrapers and none seem to be working. It just sits at:

Downloading TV Show Information
Scanning for new content

...for a few minutes then the message disappears and none of my new content is picked up.

@wonslung: Did you get yours working?

A debug log will likely tell you exactly what the issue is. See the support forum for your given platform for the sticky about How To Report a problem in a useful manner. Instructions on how to get to the debug log are there. Also in the wiki.

Ditto.

Both on XBOX and WINDOWS platform.. That is both are not able to scrape new episodes added to a network drive.

Worked like a charm just last week when I finally renamed all my TV DVD ISO's to a format scraped by http://www.thetvdb.com

hmmm...Oo

lol, i know, thanks, my issue wasn't due to this one scraper, it was all of them failing to work. I deleted my database from the ppa install and started over, now i'm getting scrapers.

it DOES suck that tvdb is down, i like that scraper a lot.....how long has it been down?
