I am on the most current svn of XBMC and installed the most recent Git of "Hitcher".

Thanks.
That could be the issue, roll back to 22516 until things become more stable.

I believe you can just disable it on options.

When you say 'entering movies' is that all with all views or only certain views and do you have lots of features turned on?

In my case it's in all views, even using the drop down and selecting Files. I'd say on average it's around 5 seconds for the movie library to load to Showcase view with fanart on or off. It takes the same time for tv shows in multiplex and 4 seconds for music in Full List mode. By comparison, Alaska loads all libraries within 1 second...

This is using the latest Hitcher from Git and various builds of xbmc, fron the 528 build prior to the merge to the latest build.

Thanks,

I have the same problem using windows rev 22528 on all views i have to wait between 3 - 5 seconds from hitting movies to the window loading. i even tried it with one of krickers DX builds and same problem and i have all the fancy extras swithched off and makes no difference not that it's a major problem for me but friends using it think it's way too slooow.
So i always switch to PM3HD when they come round to use it.Eek
