Are the images arranged in any specific order, or is it random?

Depends on your choice. You can choose for them to be alphabetic by file filename or you can have them be completely randomized.

One thing I noticed was I should add something to filter out fanart or something.

I would really like to try it, but I need an option where I can choose:

Only to search for .tbn's, as that is all my posters.

Right now I guess it will find the other jpg's etc. in the same folder and it won't work.

Yup, I just tried it... I can't seem to do a search for only .tbn in my movie folders.

Otherwise, this looks really great!

Nice work Smile

I totally agree and will be adding an option to filter out files because I have the same issue... all my fanart is being included in the scan.

Information
Download version 1.0.3553.28636 here --> http://www.goodeyesoftware.com/PosterMosaic

Updates:
  • Added TBN filter option - when checked, the files scanned will be TBN files only.
  • Added Include/Exclude options to the Filter Input - Include will match only files that match the filters you enter and Exclude will match only files the DO NOT match the filters you enter.

Thanks to those who have made suggestions.

Do they fill the screen? Do you have a lot of movies? Can you post your wallpaper so I can see what it looks like?

I have about 160 movies in mine right now and they are pretty small but I can still tell what they are.

Maybe there needs to be an option that lets you set how many posters you want to have on there for those with too many posters to have them be big enough to see?

It looks like your posters are duplicated several times. Is there only one one image per movie in your folders that you are scanning or might they be in there multiple times in subdirectories or something?

Try this... Download the current release 1.0.3554.11903 (http://www.goodeyesoftware.com/postermosaic) and before pressing CREATE WALLPAPER, go to the menu option called OPTIONS and choose RUN IN DEBUG MODE. This is new. I just added it so you could see exactly what is going on. What this will do is pop-up a grid of all the images it found and where those images are. So if you have duplicate posters you can see that and see where they are all coming from. Hopefully that will shed some light on your duplicates.

I am not at home but will try that at home.

I have pointed it to my "Movies" folder. In it are multiple folders, all the titles of a movie and then inside those are the folder.jpgs.

The whole reason I put the debug mode in there is so you can tell me whether you actually have duplicate images or if my app is duplicating them somehow. So, please, let me know one way or the other. I have not seen it duplicate images on my end but you know how things go sometimes. Smile

Thanks.

I have 800 movies, so a way to limit the number would be great Smile
