I have tried this manually:
FileCurl::Close(0xb2e4165c) http://www.thetvdb.com/api/1D62F2F90030C...3/all/.zip

..and it is emtpy...but this:
FileCurl::Close(0xb2e4165c) http://www.thetvdb.com/api/1D62F2F90030C...81253/all/

(without the .zip) seems to work...

Is it possible thetvdb api is not preparing zips anymore??

I am using:
ASROCK ION 330
XBMCLive 9.0.4.1 (Ubuntu Jaunty)
No updates from there
Connecting to a bunch of WinXP SMB shares

you configured your scraper settings while the server was down. reenter the scraper settinsg page to get a language properly assigned.
urls should look like http://www.thetvdb.com/api/1D62F2F90030C...all/en.zip

Any trick to this as I have just tried going into configure system->settings->videos->scrapers, changing the scraper, restarting xbmc, changing it back, restarting xbmc, and manually updating content (even though it scans at startup) - things are still not being pciked up. If I manually go to the show and get it to refresh, it does work then, but not the auto update....

then the show folder itself has separate settings assigned - if nfo's are around we copy the "global" scraper settings into the specific folder's settings in the db.

Change the folder content to NONE.. then hit OK.. Should ask if you want to remove all content from the library.. Hit ok.. Then when that is done change the content back to TV and select the correct scraper and hit update library radiobutton and hit ok...

Yep I deleted and re-created the source and that did it....all started because thetvdb was down when I first installed this.

Thanks for your help!

Ok, more TV scraper problems - I tried marking all my TV shows off as watched, and then added my 'fresh downloads' folder and set the content to TV, expecting that I'd then get just the new, unwatched epsiodes in the 'watch tv shows' bit.

But nothing new appears in there! Looking at the log, lots of curl errors again:

http://pastebin.com/m350c0e5f

It seems to be identifying things ok and getting some sensible data, so why would absolutely nothing appear in the TV shows section?

Ok I think I get it - I can't have one show in two different folders -

eg Castle/ season one files in here

FreshDownloads/ s02e01 in here

...won't work in terms of adding them to the library. Guess I need to figure a way to automatically move them from the downloads to the final folder for this to work.

Might just stick to levaing fresh downloads out of the library until I watch and move them across maybe, although then I have to manually mark as watched..

HMMMM - how do people deal with new things - what is the consensus (if there is one) on the best way for this?

Some downloading applications offer a "run this after download" to allow for these types of situations. I have uTorrent for some things and that offers this feature and I use it quite frequently. I just have a batch that runs after the download and moves it around after it's done.
