Hi,

I have a nv9400GT PCI-E with 185.16.36.
I tried to have the sound with the HDMI connector on my TV, but nothing.

I have the last version of alsa driver
1.0.21

When I did : aplay -l
Code:
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: ALC662 rev1 Analog [ALC662 rev1 Analog]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 1: ALC662 rev1 Digital [ALC662 rev1 Digital]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

How can I have the sound with my HDMI connector?

Thanks.

I don't have this option on my bios.
I can choose between :

AC662 or hd digital. Nothing else.

The connector is on mu graphic card, not my motherboard.

Someone could help me

HDMI audio on graphic cards are only supported if you connect the internal spdif connector on motherboard to the graphic cards (if your graphic cards support it) Check your vga's manual if it is supported.

After you connected you just have to use iec958 for both pcm and passthrough in your xbmc settings.

Thanks for this response.
Juste to be sure, with this method I don't have the sound directly on my HDMI connector but on the connector of my sound card?

It's completely impossible to have the sound with the hdmi connector.

Finely, it's ok, but only with some movies.
With AC3 audio it's ok,but if I try with stereo or dolby, I don't have sound.

How is it possible?

I used the last version of the trunk, and it's ok now. Everything is fine for the sound.

Thank you very much.
