IS a linkstation Buffalo nas drive LS-CHL compatible

HI CAN ANYONE HELP !!!!!

I have a Buffalo Linkstation LS-CHL 1 tb nas drive
When i go to file manager it sees the nas drive but will not let me enter into the drive to create a SMB network server, it will on the other hand let me access the drive though a UPnP network server but only once then on the second time it comes up with a box saying it cant connect to the network share.

Is the NAS drive compatible with the XBMC software?
Do i need to change the setting on the NAS drive?

Regards pete

I have also a Buffalo Linkstation LS-CHL 1 tb nas drive. It is working fine.

If you use it as NAS (dnla), you must wait for an hour or two before yor media files are visible in the network. I have understood that this is because drive updates NAS database 60 minute intervals as default.

On the other hand Linkstation is also accessible as SMB-drive. You don't need to do anything to get SMB going, but I have noticed that when attaching the drive first time to network one needs to wait about an hour or so also for the SMB drive to show on the network. You should also be patient when browsing network in XBMC, for some it takes again some time to drives show up on the screen.
