Eh, it took me almost 8 hours to build the application under Mac

Now I have to introduce PDF reader into media center. I know, this question was asked several times before - I don't think XBMC should have embedded PDF reading capabilities but if you had to implement such module, how would you do it?

Would you use Ghostscript to convert PDF to images?

I suspect you'd have to get something else to render it to a bitmap at some point, yeah. At that point it's just displaying an image (and doing nifty stuff like move to next page, zoom, etc.) Is there existing python code to play with pdf's?

Haven't found anything appropriate so far. I'll post here info about my solution in case I implement PDF view using some library.
