i would like to know what kind of software you people recomend for a tv backend. i have 2 dvb-s cards. i don't care if it software runs on windows or linux. i have tried mythtv but configuration is a pain in th a**

yes i had. i have downloaded from svn and compiled. it seems to be the easiest tv soft under linux. although i havent tested it extensively. i am experiencing lost frames on machine with amd sempron 1900mhz LE-1100 (also xbmc from svn on the same machine). cpu load is at 30%. strange i must say. on lapop with core 2duo i don't have this issue.

well both programs are in developement so it is highly proppable that it is the main problem.

Its a shame the solution is only for linux too.

For windows you can use ORB and set it up as a UPNP stream to XBMC

if youre on windows as dvbbackend, try dvbviewer it also has a xbmc compatible upnp server for tv!

ty for info. i have trid vbviewer before and it is a good software for dvb on win.
