Is this possible? I thought XBMC.ActivateWindow(Home) in global section is what I'm looking for, but it doesn't work when playing movie/music in fullscreen (shows codec info) - I don't have anything else assigned for that button in keymap.xml. What am I doing wrong?

ok, scratch this. looks like <mytv>Red</mytv> in Lircmap.xml works like expected with default setup and MCE remote, so I guess there are some additional mappings in keymap.xml.
