#46
spiff Wrote:how did you come to such a guess? without having looked at the code it is surely a standard render to texture and sdl isn't even used in the win32 dx builds...
By sheer ignorance I suppose... Confused Sorry.

As I already mentioned in private to tiben20, this has the potential to be one of the key turning points in XBMC history. I bet a lot of Windows HTPC users will start taking XBMC seriously once DirectShow playback is implemented correctly (mind, I fared fine, all things considered, using the GL version for the last year or so).

this isnt included in the kricker-builds isnt it?

No, not available in kricker builds. Also, please remember this is a development website. No questions, unless the question has to do specifically with development.

I see lots of trac activity on D3D video renderer, overlay for subs, etc.

Is this work something that will need to be redone for DirectShow player or is this stuff that will still be useful?

Basically, is tiben20 already "integrated" with development or not?

No he isn't and this won't go in for the next stable release.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

I realize it's still early days here, but does anyone have an idea what the minimum requirements will be to play 1080p?

Slightly offtopic - is detours still GPL compliant? I thought MS went all commercial with it a while back. Plenty of other ways to hook though so not a big deal I guess.

Looks like great work though!
