As they don't have seasons like S01E02 in their filenames but just dates, how should they be named for them to automatically be loaded in to the library?
I tried folder name : Conan O'Brien for the foildername which created the show under TV-shows, but the file in there called "Conan O'Brien 2009-10-13.avi" won't show up in there. What should the file be called?
EDIT: Nevermind it worked when I changed the foldername to "The tonight Show With Conan O'Brien"

I have the same problem except my file names are conan.2014.06.19.kevin.hart.mp4
I've tried folder names Conan (brings up Conan the Barbarian) as well as Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. Nothing seems to be working.

Or u can just add them into XBMC manually. You create a folder in your computer, name it anything you want such as Talk Shows. Move the video files into that folder.
Then in XBMC go to Video - Add files - Add the folder where you put the video files into - Name the folder - Now it's important to right click and Add to Favorites.
Next Where it asks for a category such as Movies or Music or TV Shows instead leave it blank or unknown. Next go to settings - Skin setting - Customize Home Menu - search where you want to add the folder - go to favorites - select the file you added - save. Now you have created a personalized folder/category. Whats cool is whatever you name the video file/s it will automatically make the changes on XBMC.
The only thing you miss is the series info. But it'll still have the name of the video file and will play perfectly,
