HP MCE Remote with Lirc not working
#16
My issue ended up being that I had my Harmony configured to be an "MCE Keyboard", and XBMC Live doesn't seem to like this (it worked fine in Windows). I redid the config as "MCE Remote" and changed my mappings so they were buttons vs. keys, and it worked fine.

How is the receiver detected ? is it the standard philips/ehome receiver? Some say it will work out of the box others have problems with it, very strange.

I have two HP remotes it's way better than the original mce remote and beautiful. It has philips/ehome receiver, i use it with Archlinux and Windows Vista. All i did was copied /usr/share/lirc/remotes/mceusb/lircd.conf.mceusb to /etc/lircd.conf restart lirc daemon and start xbmc thats it. I bought it cheap in Swedish ebay it was shipped from Hong Kong it took 6 days. It has extra buttons so you can configure it to do stuff.
