I know I reported this before, but it was a few years ago and the bug is still there...
If I turn on the xbox before the workgroup is initialised (IE I turn on the NAS afterwards), then go to browse the workgroup it is never found even when it becomes available (checked on laptop).
So it seems something is initialised at the beginning which needs to be reset later on if the connection is not made (sorry this is a bit vague).
Now that I've got xbmc for xbox building I should be able to test this with debug builds or whatever is needed to find out what is going on.
