My battery died in my remote and now all i have is my ipod touch with xbmc remote on it. Can i log in through putty and launch xbmc through ssh? if so, can i get a rundown?

thanks=)

You know you can just replace the battery and presto, your remote will work again.

Hey Davilla=)

Replacing the batter wont be an option for at least a few months with the way things are moving around here. I relied heavily on my itouch and only used the remote for the initial boot into xbmc. im thinking about just doing that boot directly into xbmc. I managed to squeeze one last burst from the control and load up xbmc late last night. Hopefully i dont have to reboot anytime soon.

Doing the Multifinder boot would be a better option, there's a lot going on that launcher handles that will make sure XBMC gets in front of frontrow. In my experience, doing the open from ssh while frontrow is running is problematic and you can't kill frontrow or watchdog will bite 58 seconds later.
