I'm not sure if my input matters since I dont have a log, but im using Alpha 911 on my ATV and I also do not get any audio...
Just using HDMI straight to the TV, dont have a recieve or any of that stuff... Im soooooo glad its an error on xbmc's side, it took me a couple hours to realize this! Thought my ATV was going bad, phew!

That's somehow good news. It means that AAC encoded 5.1 stream can be passed to AV receiver theoretically on OSX/coreaudio. So basically if I'd rip the video stream off and leave the audio in with AAC 5.1 the ATV CPU should be able to play it fine. I might give a try and play with it today. I can send you the logs and maybe the video sample. Davilla, thanks for taking care of it so far. |
