Did you put it properly in skin folder

xbmc/skin/miniMeedia Waffa!/...... = good
xbmc/skin/miniMeedia Waffa!/MiniMeedia Waffa! .....= not good

sorry for noob move...extracted it and didnt notice extra folder

Im getting blank default screens for all BG.I see that you can customize all pages which is a cool feature.But Im just wantin to test on my Xbox and see how smooth it acts. I read you had added some BG around 1.7 or 1.8 but how do I enable it? Some of the SS you posted looked very good.

Nope there are no default backgrounds, you need to set your own.

To let it run smootly on your xbox you need !!! To hide some views.

Got to system/settings/skin/backgrounds to set your backgrounds folders
And see all other tabs to hide views for each section, how more you hide the smoother the skin gets.

thx for quick response. I saw you got some of the BG from PDM because they looked good and loaded quick. I will look around and see if I find some. I do need to have a separate folder for each of those groups in skin settings?
Anyone have a pack of BG that you know of?

TY I grabbin them atm.. I will mess with it a bit today and see how it feels and if my wife can handle changing the skin again.LoL
I will also look at the Genre pack and see if I can sort it out too.

Yep, every catogory(group) has his own background folder.

If you want to use animated weather icons and genre thumbs... download them and put the icons in:
MiniMeedia Waffa!/media/icon

I see packs have way more JPG then I need since i get movie content/ fanart when i add to library. But they do have some default BG that I can put in cat. folders. Pretty work on skin since Ive been usin Connected since it was less system hungry.

You don't need them all but you probably want them all !!
Backrounds uses multi-image and will show them all !!
Hint:
If you like backrounds from other skins, copy them and put them in your backrounds folders. (My collection is pretty big )

Backrounds will show on homescreen and it will fallback to the them if there's no fanart with the movie.

Note:
Make sure your fanart is not bigger than 1280x720.
Do it with Media Companion or I advice using a build > 26711 wich introduced fanart resize cache and using mplayer and NOT dvdplayer.

Set your fanart size in Advancedsettings.xml (default is 480)
Older builds will cache the fanart as it is and 1920x1080 is to big for the xbox.

I always used 1280x720.

You need to create yourself an Advancedsetting.xml

copy this code, put it in a txt file and rename it to Advancedsettings.xml

Add the Advancedsettings.xml to your userdata
