Subtitle fonts designed for readability
#1
(got to do a first post somewhere...)

The (recently disbanded) digital accessibility team at the RNIB designed some fonts for readability, and these work really well as subtitle fonts. (They just drop into media/Fonts in the source tree.) They're licensed under the GPL.

Could someone add these to XBMC for use as subtitle fonts?

thanks and keep up the good work,

I think you'll find the subtitle one in particular, which is the only one that is much use to us, is not cheap. I've emailed the distributor anyway.

Cheers,
Jonathan

I use Tiresias Infofont as my subtitle font and find it much more readable than Arial.

I guess this may be getting into the realms of opinion and what I like vs what others like - others will have their preferred fonts, and before you know it xbmc is distributing huge quantities of fonts... which isn't what it's about ;-)

Thanks
Jon
