[Linux Nvidia & Ati] GPU Load 100% when TV is turned off
#1
Even if with an nvidia or an ati card, when connected with only hdmi in a flat panel TV, if the the TV is turned off GPU load goes to 100% (xbmc.bin process about 30% in an amd neo 1.3GHz). This has the side effect of increasing the overall temperatures and consumption limits. XBMC used pre-eden compiled @ 15 November.

Hi all,
I can confirm, I've the same problem. I'm using an ATI Radeon HD4350 and with the TV turned off my GPU is always at 99%. Here following an aticonfig output:

# aticonfig --adapter=0 --od-getclocks --od-gettemperature

Adapter 0 - ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series
Core (MHz) Memory (MHz)
Current Clocks : 600 400
Current Peak : 600 400
Configurable Peak Range : [300-650] [400-550]
GPU load : 99%

Adapter 0 - ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series
Sensor 0: Temperature - 65.00 C

Any hint?

Bye,
Ax
