Hi all,
Linux XBMC user here, using debian apt release from R22976
Just spent quite some time trying to figure out why the vast majority of my plugins won't work -- some fail to load, others fail later on (like trying to play a video). In my quest, I decided I'd better make sure my plugins were up-to-date, and installed the SVN Repo Installer. Alas, even it would not load!
After enabling verbose debugging and testing it out, it appears that when it was looking for files that should be in ~/.xbmc/plugins/programs/SVN Repo Installer/resources/repositories/ was erroring, saying it couldn't find ~/resources/repositories/
Linking the latter to the former (i.e. ln -s .xbmc/plugins/programs/SVN Repo Installer/resources ./) allowed it to instantly run and install. Is there some mapping with special:// paths that might be failing? I don't see anything in the log, but was hoping some guru here might help. Here is a pastebin of my log (removed all obviously irrelevant info like graphics drivers):
