I was wondering what was your opinion on both of these. I know the platform is the same but the myka has an interface already and comes preloaded with an OS etc.. do you think the myka is better for HD content?

Why should something with a preloaded OS be better for HD? I have an Asrock 330 with a minimal Ubuntu on it and I am happy with it. If you have troubles installing Ubuntu yourself you could go for xbmc-live.
