#1
Hi, i just bought a acer revo 3610 and installed xbmc on it, it works flawless with xvid movies but it doesnt work at all flawless with 720p/1080p. So i googled around and found out i had to switch VDPAU on, heres the thing, i can't find where to switch it on? its not under "render method", where could it be?
Do i need to switch it on from windows or what?

best regards

VDPAU only works in Linux / XBMC Live. There is a selection for it under render method in those versions, but not Windows.

The other two have hardware acceleration under Windows. XBMC only has hardware acceleration under Linux.

You can get hardware acceleration under Windows by using XBMC with an external player that does support hardware acceleration (e.g. Media Player Classic / MPC-HC). Not ideal, but it works.
