jozwikjp Wrote:Question. Where do you get a 330HT I was looking on newegg they have a 330 but it doesn't say HT or BD for that matter? Are they scarce to find them right now?
Dabear3 Wrote:NCIX.com has them (Canada and USA). I'm actually waiting to hear if they fix this remote problem before I buy one.
Albert031 Wrote:Hi there,
Has anyone tried the lirc_sir module?
According to an earlier post, the ASRock is equipped with the W83627HF chip.
Here http://www.almico.com/foruminfo.php?id=353
It is stated that the ir can be accessed via the uart:
'W83627HF provides two high-speed serial communication ports (UARTs), one of which supports serial Infrared communication.'
The documentation of that chip (http://www.isd.com/NR/rdonlyres/B066C916...F_HGAW.pdf)
also states something like that.
So one would need to something like this (second serial port):
setserial /dev/ttyS1 none
modprobe lirc_dev
modprobe lirc_sir io=0x2f8 irq=3
I don't have an ASRock (yet) so I can't test it myself.
Abnormal1 Wrote:How did you get this datasheet, did you request it on Nuvoton website? The reason I ask is im after the Nuvoton NCT6775F datasheet as the ION330HT uses it and may also use it for IR.
X3lectric Wrote:There is the CIR uart able chip which is NCT6775 on revision A of HT models according to motherboard of course it is worth reminding people to the obvious the HT has already revision B which may be using another chip altogether could very well be the W83627HF but honestly I replacing the heatsinks for copper ones later on today and will have a look around with some pictures since I'm on Revision B of hardware. (it says it on box Model blabla-HT or HT-B)
Also worth mentioning that the drivers are in the works and on internal test. Source is Pegatron the manufacturer to who I have direct contact now I hope they ensuring ddrivers support bot revisions.
Quote:I don't see a HT-B on the box somewhere. Does this mean I have a revision A, and if so, will those new, soon to be out drivers, also work for me?
Abnormal1 Wrote:Well I have to admit I dont know anything about a different board revision, however what I do know is that on my 330HT motherboard there is a NCT6775 chip and that this chip has IR capability. In fact it even has IR Transmission capability of which we may be able to mod onto the board.
Also I now have the data sheet for the NCT6775 so if anyone wants it or knows of a good place for me to host it so I can link to it on here then just ask/tell.
vickyl Wrote:I am sure this is not a motherboard revision
HT is White
HT-B is Black,
The identifier just related to the colour of the case and remote.
