$500 to build an "automatic directory sync" script
#1
i'm a small time producer/editor and i've been using xbmc installed at a client's location to watch rough cuts - rather than watching a quicktime on a computer. but the streaming is un-reliable (sometimes it hiccups, no matter what the settings) and if you want to watch something more than once, it has to re-stream it and possibly more hiccups.

what would be perfect is to have a simple download (via http or ftp) that would happen in the background, syncing a directory on a serer with a directory on the local hard drive - it would need to happen in the background (even if it was just at startup) and the script would need to be able to be executed on command as well (some sort of refresh that would check for changes on the server and download/delete any necessary content).

please email me if you can develop this and are interested in working with me on it.

thanks,
jerad sloan

ps here's my production company site in case you want to check it out.

this problem it solved at actual mplayer cvs (not in xbmc repository)... if you want to test mplayer unrar in xbmc\mplayer dir...
it's just an idea!
read the xbmc online-manual, faq and search the forums before posting! do not e-mail the xbmc-team asking for support!
read/follow the forum rules! note! team-xbmc never have and never will host or distribute ms-xdk binaries/executables!
