Scraping content for UPnP not working...
#1
Question
So I have mediatomb running on a linux server and xbmc finds the UPnP share and plays the videos fine on both my bedroom pc and apple tv but when I tell xbmc it is a tv show folder and to scrape it with thetvdb nothing seems to happen...

I have the folder shared via smb and it works fine but i hate entering a username and password on the apple tv every time i open xbmc...

how do I make the scraper work for UPnP like it does for smb?

iirc you cant add upnp content to the library, so no scraping.

You shouldn't have to enter your username and password each time for samba shares, it should save it if you have told it to.

hmm well it only asks on the apple tv cuz the share is mapped as a network drive that reconnects automatically on the pc... I will look into it.

That sucks it can not scrape UPnP.

samba shares should work fine on the appletv - if its not remembering your user details then then something is wrong.
