Hello

I just started using XBMC.
Can it really be true that i have to re organize all my movies and series to get XBMC find them?
I have it like this

Movies -> 0-Z -> T -> Truman Show, The -> The Truman Show.avi
Series -> 0-Z -> P -> Prison Break -> Season 1 -> Episode (XX).avi

The cause i have 0-Z is I also have a folder named 'Dansk' f.x.

I assume you mean by library mode?

I have a set up somewhat like this, stretched over several HD's.
I have problems with the deep folder scans so I just dig deeper for content scans.

Instead of setting your content scans at Movies, try starting at 0-Z. If it still doesn't pick up, you might need to start at each letter. This will take more time to set up, but at least you only have to do it once. Smile

The system seems finicky about which folders to pick up and which not too. Just play with it, no sense in reorganizing your HD.

Movies, set contents on the movies folder and just select the scan recursively option

TV shows, unless you have the season number in the filename, you will need custom regexps.

That looks confusing Confused The TV Show thing.
Do i have to reorganize with that?

I cant remember where - but i read i can use nfo files to get the correct data for my movie files.
Something like just put in the IMDb link in the nfo file?

Reorganize? No but you will have to make XBMC understand your scheme.

Nfo, sure, but what is complex about checking "Scan Recursively"?
You will always have to set content.

Ah. I think i get it know.
I didnt notice the code was under answers to the topic.
But again, will it find my shows then the files name are Episode (1).avi?
As i understand i have to rename them to prison.break.101.avi
Is this correct?

using the regexps from xexe you should not have to change any filenames.
I have never used them though, please read the thread, that's the only information I have to give.
