Hints for lateral blades

I remember that during a conversation in the general area, somebody pointed out that the fact that there are configuration "blades" accessible by "moving" to the left or the right, on some skins, was far from being intuitive.

I've discovered today that they are present in Confluence as well. Some sort of visual hint should be given. Otherwise somebody not familiar with XBMC could never figure out by himself that he needs to go left to access library view options and so on and so forth.
