nvidia 8400 comes in a pci flavor, I have one, works great under a 1.5GHz Pentium-M. $65 at newegg.

Just tried the latest GL build from here: http://danielpatton.com/user-accounts/XB...ricker/gl/ - doesn't seem to have the right myth db schema for the latest mythbuntu (9.10) - i can see the guide, but no channels listed in "live television".

edit: now trying Ikon's 26459 GL build. Will let you know how I go.

IT WORKS!

This build: http://danielpatton.com/user-accounts/XB...459-gl.exe

is now working on my old htpc connecting to a new myth9.10 frontend. It uses the old skin, but I'm happy to have TV again until I have the cash for my new ASrock ION330. Thanks Ikon!

Same problem here. I have an ATI Radeon HD3600 with the latest Catalyst drivers. According to specs this card supports DirectX 10.1...

I have this issue with an NVIDIA 8800 GT; all videos I tried have a black screen yet have sound.

I'm on Windows 7 RTM x64 with 195.62 drivers.

I am new to XBMC and does also have this problem with 9.11. 9.04 seems to work.

My computer is a laptop running windows 7 64 bit with a geforce g103m with 195.62 driver version. The card does have directx 10 and shader 4.0 support according to specs. The computer can play 1080p movies with vlc and media player classic without any problem.
Does xbmc really require a brand new highend gpu to work? Seems strange that it should not work with xbmc.

@a2h1337 and uno_ke_va:
please post a full debug log via pastebin (or other paste service). Your cards should have support for pixel shader 2.0 so something else must be wrong (as it works fine on my 2 years old mac mini with intel gm).
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

It does not fix the problem with directx, but it does fix xbmc.
Go to http://sshcs.com/xbmc/ and download the windows OpenGL version.
This one will work fine on your video card, not as fast as the directx version, but with video.

Where do I download the windows OpenGL on this siteHuh

Thanks a2h1337. Now I'm really surprised. Looks like your card should have support for the pixel shader but it fails to compile it. weird.

a2h1337,

XBMC is compiling shaders on the fly, and it looks like you don't have the required compiler.

Try running a full update of directx.
