Any thoughts as to why a HD movie I have will not play. I am able to play it in Itunes and on the Apple TV streaming from Itunes using the standard Apple Interface however it will not play in XBMC. It doesnt even attempt to play or give me an error.

Humm, should play. log files please and/or drop a sample (50-100MB) on some share site so we can check it.

Is anyone else getting HD content to play reliably on ATV then?

I know I tend to ask this question a lot, but am starting to feeling like the guy left in the dark.

All HD content I have which is about 40 films play back like turd on ATV so choppy they cannot be watched. They all play flawlessly on macbook/mini/imac so I assume the skills of the ATV are in question. Yet people say they get success.

This is the first HD movie I have had problems with and its not related to being choppy but just that it will not even start. I have found that as long as the bitrate is around 4000 and the size is no larger than 1280 x 720 they play just fine. Have you tried streaming the movies from Itunes to rule out issues with XBMC. I have used both Handbrake and Ripbot for encoding.

On the issue Im having I made a sample and lo and behold the sample will play fine, I can still post it if you think it will help. On the Logs please see them here http://pastebin.com/m2d874b0e

I didnt include the console log as the las entry was in September.
