Is there a script or somthing available that can do this?

I often find that I'm sticking on movies while pottering around between the kitchen and living room. It's not too difficult to get them in nearly exact sync by hand, but I find they tend to drift after 20 minutes or so. Is there anything that can autosync the playback and periodically pull them back into sync?
