The colors thread (show us your color themes) [Alaska only]

Stencil is awesome,

however is anyone else's "watched" icon not showing up?

I've downloaded several of these color changes (excellent work, everyone) but I must be doing something wrong with them.

I can select the color theme but the only thing that changes on the skin is the font color; the background is still solid white. How do I make ALL the color changes take effect?

Are you using Alaska or Alaska Revisited?

I think you've answered your own question there then - the colours are for Alaska, there's been some major changes to Revisited so I guess they won't work now.

Yes, I played around with updating my 'Dark' color scheme, but the background color no longer seems to be controlled the same way, an xml file in the colors dir. (Can Hitcher confirm this?) There's not a whole lot you can change while still keeping the white background, so that's why you're not seeing Alaska Revisited color files.

The background is controlled by four files in:
media/filters

home_vignette = Only applies in home/settings.
*creates a vignetting around the borders. Center focus is the selected icon

list_vignette = Only shows up in list view
*i.e. when you select a file/source
*i.e. when you select a music track/movie/tv series

musicwall_vignette = Only shows up in Music - Wall view
*Shows focus on selected album. Vignettes the rest.
*I personally prefer to just completely remove this so that I could get a better view of the complete wall.

If you decide to remote musicwall_vignette, you probably will also want to remove media/wall/musicwallmatte which is the overlay for unfocused albums

filter.png = Pretty much the background that you see throughout the whole skin

Hello . i downloaded the stencil theme by Juanflaco but sadly the icons remained the same (the alaska / xbmc default ones) .

Any idea of what i could do to fix this ? i extracted stencil.xml into colors folder inside the alaska.skin folder and stencil.xpr into the media folder inside alaska.skin aswell , thanks , the theme loaded fine and the color , only issue is missing the icons .

(ok the icons work in home 2 , just not 1 or 3 , but don't think 3 was supposed to work , just 1 and 2 , would like to get home 1 to work still as it's my favorite one , home 2 has some extra stuff such as favorites etc that i don't need)

also the background seems to be missing , only shows the icon , the background is just a solid color instead of textured like in the screenshots , i'm guessing it simply doesn't work with the latest builds ? sorry for asking about all this problems but would really like to get this theme working , thanks
