just an idea which i don't think would be too hard to implement since all the code already exists, but the logic at the directory level will need to be added.
basically i would like to be able to tell xbmc to flatten the hierarchy only after a certain depth level.
for example if i have a directory structure like below:
games
-- action
-- action game 1
-- action game 2
-- adventure
-- adventure game 1
-- adventure game 2
-- emulation
-- emulator 1
-- emulator 12
at the moment flattening the hierarchy does a similar job as the old 'scan' shortcut and display all .xbe found
not flattenning it u keep the categories but have to navigate all the way to the bottom level to launch the .xbe
could we have a way of saying that we want to flatten from level 2 which will in this case keep a folder per category, but then directly underneath show the .xbe rather than the games folders ?
another way to have the same effect would be to have a game database and be able to display by categories ....
