Movie scraping is screwed up on several movies

Thumbs Down
Well I'm using the new Camelot release and these bloody scrapers just dont want to work right..

I have 170 movies or so, and several of them are scanning with no thumbnail and no fanart. Clicking the "Get Thumb" or "Get Fanart" does absolutely nothing as usual and does not show the proper thumbs or fanarts for the movie which are clearly available if you visit TMDB website.

Why does XBMC simply refuse to show the thumbs and fanart, and why isn't there some kind of refresh or retry button for these times when it apparently is failing to scrape.

And the most idiotic part of all, is that it pulls the description yet completely ignores the thumbs and fanart.

Log: http://pastebin.ca/1690891 In the log, I tried setting scanning or getting info on movies with no thumbs.

Here are some pictures: There are at least 50 friggin movies with no thumbnails, some with no thumbnails have one or two fanart selections.

I have tried removing them from the library and re-scanning to no avail, as you will see in the log. It's almost like when you re-scan it doesn't even re-query the server but still has the info cached, because it just tries and gives up almost instantly..

Any help would be appreciated.... thanks

Any leftover nfo files you might want to look at with the movies?
(Also, XBMC is capable of taking screenshots, printscreen key)

Yes there are likely NFO's, I don't usually delete those. Are these the root of the problem?

Is there a way to save the NFO's and not have it affect xbmc?

thanks for the response

like i posted in another thread, this seams to be an issue with the website holding the content, not xbmc.
if i enter the movie "16 blocks" at the moviedb, an error message appears:

http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/2207

They could be, if they contain no or invalid thumb data.
Then only if created by XBMC or one of them "supplemental" programs.
(should not happen with scene nfos)

Hi

I'm using the latest xbmc beta 1 release and using the themoviedb in the set content setting and a few movies doesn't get the thumb art, anyone know how to fix that?

If I change scraper to imdb it scrapes every movie but doesn't stack multiple cd movies. I list my movies like this:

G:/Film/Arlington.Road.1999.AC3.DVDRiP.XViD-VH

and so on. Anyone have any idea how I could fix this?

thanks

Could be the new tmdb API.
Foxtrot, the scraper has nothing to do with stacking. (The example you gave is not enough to help with your stacking issues).

Well, with themoviedb as movie scraper I don't have the stacker issues, and with imdb as scraper I have them. I don't know what else to say.

Thanks anyway

all CD1 och CD2 movies are created as CDN for CD1 and DHOOM:2 for CD2 except for a few movies. I don't have any extra nfo's in the CD-folders, just in the parent folder for the movie

exactly, it looks just like in the screenshots posted above.
guess we'll just have to wait till the website's staff adresses the problem.

I'm having a similar (weird) problem. I have xbmc installed in two different rooms. Both have imdb set as the scraper and one will pull fanart just fine but the other won't. Even if I switch to moviedb it still does the same thing. They are both pulling movies from my file server and I don't and never have had any nfo files in movie folders.

This seems to have been fixed in SVN.

You can either choose to wait for the next release, or download the required scrapers and replace them:

http://www.xbmc.org/trac/browser/trunk/s...o/tmdb.xml
http://www.xbmc.org/trac/browser/trunk/s...n/tmdb.xml

I had said problem as well and replacing with those files seems to have fixed the issue. I'm still rescanning my library though - I'll report back when done.

EDIT: It did fix pretty much all the movies - but a few new ones it didn't find now. I deleted all the nfo's because I read somewhere on here that that could be the cause. But I guess that was a stupid move. Oh well.

Actually - I just realized there's 44 movies it hasn't found at all. (was like 20 before, meh)

Any smart way of finding out which of my movies are in the XBMC database and which are not?

Searching the debug log for "No NFO file found." narrowed it down to 3 movies it doesn't find. Forced imdb links by adding nfo files to the movies it couldn't find. I'm at 473/476 now. Anyone got an idea how I could find the last 3? 2 empty folders... one to go :-(

I tried this and now when I go to "set content" tmdb isnt even an option anymore I also tried replacing the imdb file as well and the same thing happened.
