Movie scraping is screwed up on several movies
#31
I have trouble finding the scrapers on my computer, using ubuntu. They're not in System/scraper/video. The system folder is empty, even when I choose to show hidden files. Anyone know where they are?

Sorry, never mind...

hi

i have read this post over and over and i must be doing something wrong i downloaded the 2 files from page 2

put one in:-
d:\xbmc\system\scrapers\video

and one in
d:\xbmc\system\scrapers

is this correct? all it does when searching is say "searching for new content" and after around 15mins goes off, i have 176 movies and so far its found 15 and all its put in the list are the names and nothing else, using imdb just wrecks everything and you get no image/no name just 176 "..."

annoying as before my pc got re-installed it all worked perfectly.

heeellppppp PLEASE

thanx

If running 9.11 Beta 1 the only file to update is common/tmdb.xml:
http://www.xbmc.org/trac/browser/trunk/s...n/tmdb.xml

Note, I'm still getting some problems with posters not showing up, which are on the tmdb website, but it's a lot better..

One should go in
d:\xbmc\system\scrapers\video

the other in
d:\xbmc\system\scrapers\video\common

But reading what you posted this is not the root of your problems.
It's something else (and bigger).

An example of a movie not being found for me is "She's All That".

TMDB Website link:
http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/10314

XBMC debug log when scanning source folder:
Quote:15:14:28 T:3059624816 M:1862852608 DEBUG: No NFO file found. Using title search for '/mnt/frodo/videos/movies/sd/She's.All.That.avi'
15:14:28 T:3059624816 M:1862852608 DEBUG: InternalFindMovie: Searching for 'she's all that' using themoviedb.org scraper (file: 'tmdb.xml', content: 'movies', language: 'en', date: '2009-11-11', framework: '1.1')
15:14:28 T:3059624816 M:1862852608 DEBUG: FileCurl::Open(0x92f1898) http://api.themoviedb.org/2.1/Movie.sear...all%20that
15:14:28 T:3059624816 M:1862860800 DEBUG: FileCurl::Close(0x92f1898) http://api.themoviedb.org/2.1/Movie.sear...all%20that
15:14:28 T:3059624816 M:1862860800 DEBUG: scraper: GetSearchResults returned <results></result>

Manually accessing api link sure doesn't find anything:
Quote:<OpenSearchDescription>
<opensearch:Query searchTerms="she's all that"/>
<opensearch:totalResults>0</opensearch:totalResults>
<movies>Nothing found.</movies>
</OpenSearchDescription>

So, a tmdb problem then?? Should I raise a bug?

EDIT:
There appears to be several defects raised over on the tmdb tracker covering the issues with the api not returning the same number of results as the website search; and one even exactly matching what I'm finding:

Right, nothing we can do. This should be fixed on the API side.
