It is filled with the following line over and over:

smbc_set_credentials_with_fallback: allocation fail

xbmc@XBMCLive:~$ ls -lah

Trying to figure out if its something I've done or if others are seeing this on beta1 running xbmclive as well.

I can get a debug output after my son wakes up from his nap.

Hi,

System: Asus NL4-VM DH, T5600 Core2Duo, 1GB DDR2, GT220 graphics

I just installed minimal Ubuntu server 9.10 installation and xbmc, xinit, xserver utils, xbmc-live etc to it. I followed tutorial found at http://www.xbmc.org/wiki/?title=XBMCbuntu. I followed instructions, because I had this same behavior on the previous install and maybe the error is easier to reproduce. I installed Nvidia drivers (190.53) as it is described in the tutorial as "Method 2". I did not do any changes to the initial installation other than modified xorg.conf so that it would use 720p resolution instead of 1080i. With or without the modification error is still there.

Code:
smbc_set_credentials_with_fallback: allocation fail
appears numerous times on .xsession-error and as the playback continues, more lines appear onthe log. I salvaged xbmc.log whilst playing a mkv file. As playing goes along, there are errors generated to .xsession-error, but nothing appears on the xbmc.log. Log can be found from http://pastebin.com/faa80e20. Should I perhaps add loglevel? If so, where is configuration for logging? Playing is not jerky or anything, frames are not dropped (maybe a few are when starting playback), but I dont like the idea of bloating error logs as system runs from relatively small SSD.

Could an older implementation of SMB/CIFS on server cause this? I'm not sure what version of Samba server has, but I can check after holidays, as I get back at home.

Hi,

Could anyone please confirm, that this doesn't happen on their system, using RC1, or Camelot? Just change to console [CTRL+ALT+F1] and ls -alh.

Happens to me too on stable version of XBMCLive Camelot 9.11...
Does anyone know how to fix this? The error only occurs when browsing through videos stored on smb shares.

Basically only when navigating and starting videos from shares this error logging occurs..
