WIP Apple TV 3.0 skin replica for XBMC concept (codename: xTV 3.0)
pecinko Wrote:I'm making Quartz Origins which should be more true to ATV2 interface than previous version have been.

So, until xTV 3 is released you could go here http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=120319 and post your suggestions.
Likewise SVN version of xTV-SAF is heading in the same direction (now with AppleTV Gen2 horizontal menu). So until xTV 3 makes it's appearance why don't you try either one of these skins (available NOW).

Wyrm (xTV-SAF)
If required a FULL debug log can now be submitted from the skin in settings->skin settings->support. Or follow instructions here if you can't access skin settings.

I'd be a happier man if somebody did, I'd sleep like a baby at night...(pls feel free to pm if you wanna show me what to do) ...I tried a lot of skins but somehow they lacked that genuine touch that the apple tv has, no offence, right now i'm on Quartz by pecinko, i like it so much because it's fast...it's a step forward toward achieving that replica look but, my opinion pls don't shoot me, if it only included those graphics to make it look like the real thing, don't get me wrong, i understand it's a lot of work, and i appreciate what you guys are doing for us...and teaching, helping us out on top of that.

@miappa, @scrolling Thx so much!!!

Thx so much for everything!!!

Hi Guys

A while ago, i was thinking this exact same thing, how can we get an exact replica of the Apple TV interface in XBMC. I know we can't officially use the official graphic files etc from the Apple software for copyright purposes and then distribute this but I did just that for my own personal use.

With the help of Wyrm (xTV-SAF) and the permission of Pecinko, i modified the Quartz skin with the original graphics and produced an almost almost exact replica of the 4.4.4 firmware home screen.

I'll post up some screen shots of this soon, they will have to be photos as i don't know how to grab a screen shot directly from the ATV.

Please bear in mind, the main difference with the look of Quartz compared to the original 4.4.4 is the missing logo on the bottom right of the home screen, and the logo's on the top portion of the screen. this is what my modification has reproduced.

I did modify Quartz to look almost identical to ATV 4.4.4 but i can't upload the files as they are the actual graphics ripped from the ATV. It would be nice if we could get xTV3.0 up and running though
