@elypter, please include the additional hoster dir in the plugin. Do not store it in systems plugin folder.

the hoster-folder is intendet to be a shared resource for many other plugins and theoretically not only for video.

at the moment it is used by movie2k_1.b6+ and iload_1.b6+

does it cause any problems ?

Yeah. Users are not allowed to write in systems folder. You should place it in the users home instead.

wich folder isnt writable? wich platform do you talk about? i thought that if plugins/video is writable so plugins/hoster is writable too, or is it a problem to create the hoster folder?

Or is it just a problem that the path is absolute and not relative?

Referring to Linux systems, no idea how Windows handles it. Just try to make sure to keep ALL stuff in the users profile folder.

I released a new version of my kino.to plugin.
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=63970

the architecture is similar to movie2k. I did everything with relative paths and special://home . Try it out and if this is what you ment i will modify movie2k in the same way.

i guess you mean the recources folder with the settings.xml
this folder is optional, not every plugin has it. you just need to merge the folder structure into your xbmc folder structure.

if you post the log i might help
