Mediaplayer (standalone) XBMC
#1
Are there any (standalone) mediaplayers like the WDTV, XTreamer etc that are capable of running XBMC? I really looking for a 1080P HDMI player that is CORE xbmc and not running on Windows etc.

I know boxee is coming with a device in Jan 2010.
Are there any other succes stories of a capable mediaplayer that's allready supporting XBMC?
Or.... it the only option availabe at the moment the Apple TV?

Conceptronic have a new media player in the works called the YuiXX (strange name) that uses the Intel system on chip CE3100 which has an x86 CPU and a GPU (a requirement for XBMC).

However as pointed out by others the PowerVR GPU may only do OpenGL ES so until that ES branch is finished XBMC wouldn't work on it very well if at all.

But its something to keep an eye on at least.

The Boxee box is the strongest contender for buying an off the shelf XBMC capable player.
