White Screen Dilemma
#1
I ran searches, found one post similar, but it was dealing with a hackintosh.

I'm on a 24" iMac (i386) running Snow Leopard (10.6.2)
Downloaded and installed XBMC 9.04.1 (SVN-20677M) from a .dmg
XBMC WAS working...until I started messing with it. I had it scan a device I didn't mean to, and my library got screwed up. I thought if I deleted ~/Library/Application Support/XBMC/userdata/Database/*.db it would clear the database.

Well instead, now when I launch XBMC, I just get a blank, white screen. If I mouse over the window my mouse cursor disappears. I cannot quit XBMC. I have to force quit.

I have tried deleting /Applications/XBMC, ~/Library/Application Support/XBMC, and installing from scratch, but now a seemingly 'fresh' install of XBMC produces the same problem.

Here is the xbmc.log: http://pastebin.ca/1708517 At the end there are pages and pages of the same line, so I deleted the middle ones for brevity.

I cannot get XBMC running on my Mac now! Please help!

Weird. I thought that eliminates XBMC from system completely?

strange. have you tried the 9.11b's yet, b2 is about to pop out and does have some fixes regarding white screen issues that showed up under 9.11.

I'm sorry I'm such a newb, but I just downloaded the .dmg from http://xbmc.org/download/

I'm not really familiar with building from source/svn etc.

You don't have to build from source.
Just click the "OSX" link under "Current Pre-release: Camelot Beta1" (on the same page).
As davilla said, beta2 will be there soon (and will replace beta1).
xbmc.log: /Users/<username>/Library/Logs/xbmc.log

Downloaded and installed Camelot Beta1, and now it won't run. If I launch it from the dock it bounces, but quickly stops...

If I try to run /Applications/XBMC.app/Contents/MacOS/XBMC, I get "Unable to create application. Exiting"

Which iMac model do you have? Which graphics?

The log only says...
GL_VENDOR = Apple Computer, Inc.
GL_RENDERER = Apple Software Renderer
GL_VERSION = 2.1 APPLE

Yeah, that is weird. It's a 24" iMac (early 2009), and according to the system profiler, It's got an NVIDIA GeForce GT 120

Are you using any external display? Using Screen Sharing or VNC to access your iMac?
See that thread http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=64253
Another user had the same "GL_RENDERER = Apple Software Renderer" problem.

That seemed to be it. I guess I can't check my library and stuff from work...
