installed from dmg
SVN: XBMC 9.11-beta2 r-n 25484
myth backend: mytbuntu 9.10 (mythtv 0.22)
i can see my myth recordings just fine in XBMC, but nothing happens when i attempt to play.
I added my myth backend source (a separate machine) as:
myth://mythtv:OPU5fzgg/192.168.1.109/
added my myth backend server name (jay-desktop) to /etc/hosts on the mac where XBMC is running, pointing to ip 192.168.1.109
the only other thing i've noticed in the logs is in the myth backend log it declares that the client is running protocol 8 while "we speak" (myth, i'm assuming) protocol 50... and then it seems to quit.
Not sure if that is the problem, but it seems like it'd be a problem...

i highlighted the most recent myth backend lines at the end of the log where the protocol warning appears.
