My problem is the resolution.
I need to use 1360x768 instead of 1280x720 if I want pixelmapping.
That doesn't seem exactly trivial.

I am using a Samsung Q96( might have another name in the states).
Plasma 50".

I reccon one must use modelines to fix this.

Can anyone offer advice?

I have two Samsung TVs, one an LCD and one Plasma both are 1360x768. I do not use a modeline, only default settings and it automatically detects the resolution.

I did find one undocumented feature of my Plasma, HDMI1 supports only 1280x720. HDMI2/DVI supports 1360x768.

Be sure you are using the HDMI input labelled as DVI.
