As far as I am aware there is no way for to make the interface/skin work in a letterboed mode, eg 720p / 1080p mode on a non widescreen monitor (eg 5:4 1280x 1024, 16:10 1920 x 1200). So this feature would force a letterboxed version of the skin / interface on these monitor types.

Currently on my 5:4 monitor the artwork in any skin is stretched as it does not render correctly as all skins are made for 16:9. Hopefully the feature would just letterbox the skin but render any video based on the monitors ratio (so a 4:3 video still play full screen on a 1024x768 monitor but the skin operates in 16:9 mode).
