Volume control question

Hey guys I'm fairly new to the scene but I've got everything just about setup how I need it...

I have a Pioneer Headunit that controls my speakers and subs, it's connected via HDMI to my HTPC. I also have a Flirc, and a Logitech Harmony remote.

I have passthru sound enabled, which helps me for nicely encoded rips, but some of mine are lesser quality and don't have Dolby encoding...so here my problem.

I want my remote to only change the volume on my Pioneer Headunit, not the volume inside Xbmc...what am I missing? As I said, it works perfectly on a heavily encoded file that passes Dolby thru, but the smaller files when I press my volume button it changes my Headunit and XBMC volumes surly there must be some way to change this?

Disregard...I came up with the answer. I just needed to go into Flirc, and erase the buttons set to control volume. Now when I press volume up or down, it only changes on my Headunit.
