just unpack to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons
or try install addon from zip
Thank you. Is this the same add-on that is in the xbmc repository?
EDIT: after looking that files it looks like this addon just updates the library on startup? I am looking for something that will autoupdate every X hours.

Thanks for posting that, I've been searching literally for hours to get a way to do this. Read dozens of threads and then finally found that! Thanks!

I've been monitoring this thread and thought I'd comment on the add-on for this that is currently in the repo.
I recently updated the Library Auto Update plugin that is in the XBMC repo to be compatible with Eden when it arrives (or those of us running the nightly builds). It will now run as a service, eliminating the need for the autoexec.py file and will still update the video and music databases on a set time interval.
I tested it on my system but please write comments on this thread if anyone has any issues with it. I did a pull request just this evening so I'm hoping it will hit the repo for Eden within a day or so.
