[ATV] 1280x1080 @ 60hz?!? Why cant it do 1920x1080?

Not sure what the problem is, but when I set my TV Resolution under ATV's Menu to 1080i... and then launch xbmc it shows my video at 1280x1080 and everything looks out of proportion. But if I set it to 720p, then everything appears correctly.

Why wont XBMC report it as 1920x1080? It works fine when I am using ATV OS and have it set to 1080i.

My TV is a Toshiba 1080i DLP, its not true 1080p, so it upconverts all signal to 1080p... I don't ever recall having this problem though. I am using HDMI by the way. And i certainly have no problems when hooked up to my Samsung 1080p LCD's... This is the 1st time that I really notice this problem on my Toshiba.

I am using ATV with OS 2.xx and launcher 3.1 and xbmc 9.11rc2... it appears xbmc has problems detecting the resolutions, sometimes when i launch xbmc the screen remains blank, but i can still scroll thru the menus (because I can hear the navigation sound still). So i try to exit and relaunch and it appears. Not sure why it does this.

Known issue with AppleTVs and XBMC on some HDTVs, stick with 720p and don't worry about it, OpenGL will scale to 720p.
