[Error] Plugin: SVN Repo Installer!

Hello XBMC Developers! Smile

I have a problem, when I trying to install the 'SVN Repo Installer' plugin.
I starting XBMC up and choose 'Programs' in the Menu, here I choose 'Program plugins' from the root.
So I choose 'SVN Repo Installer' from the list, but then I get a error message.

Some facts:
XBMC is running on Microsoft Windows XP: Home Edition (Service Pack 3).
I'm using the newest release: XBMC 9.11: Camelot
If there is any other thing you need to know, you are more than welcome to ask!

Could you be more precise?

Which version of the SVN repo installer do you use?
Do you have any logs with the error message?

Depending on the type of install of XBMC you have chosen, you will find your log file:
- either at: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\XBMC\xbmc.log
- or at the root level of you XBMC install (xbmc.log)

The current version of the SVN repo installer in SVN is 1.8.2b
You can get the 1.8.2a (just previous one) in google code at:
http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-addons/sou...1.8.2a.zip
If you want the 1.8.2b you will need to retrieve it with a SVN client.

You release seems pretty old, I ma not sure why this one was released with Camelot.
But it looks to me the explanation of you problem is the version of SVN Repo Installer you use is tool old.

I put the 1.5.2 SVN Repo Installer version on, because the following was not working and I found it here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=159135&postcount=1
And that should be the newest version released. (I found the link here: http://xbmc.org/download/plugins-scripts/)

But how can I download that new version 1.8.2a?
When I'm going to that link you sent, I just come to a webpage, with no download button.

My mistake the correct link should be:
http://xbmc-addons.googlecode.com/svn/pa...1.8.2a.zip

From that you will need to extract the archive and put the directory in your plugin/programs directory replacing the old one SVN Repo Installer directory.

On your Windows based computer you will find the plugin directories here:
%APPDATA%\XBMC\plugins\programs\

If you run XBMC in portable mode, use the following directories instead:
%PROGRAMFILES%\XBMC\plugins\programs\

Yes, that link was better.
But I still have the same problem.

I think that the problem is, that the installer is looking for the files another place, than in ...plugins\programs\ where the files is.

Because as you can see on the screenshot I posted before, then writing Loading directory - Retrieved 0 items.

Could that be the problem?

The other plugins like AppleTrailer.. is not working too.

Hum, not sure why it doesn't find your module installerAPI.
That's weird.
Could you check installerAPI directory is direclty in you SVN Repo Installer directory?
That should be the case.

Check too there is a __init__.py in installerAPI

For AppleMovieTrailer I believe it is out of date too. But as soon as you have the SVN Repo installer working, you will be abel to update and install the other addons.

I am just wondering if XBMC wouldn't have an issue with your windows path including 'Søren', I am not sure how 'ø' is recognized.
Perhaps check from another profile we never know.

Yes both the directory and the file is on it's place.

Maybe the problem is in the 'ø', I will check that soon.

Now it's working!
I using the Portable Mode instead, where then use the directories directly in the installed directory.

So many thanks for your tip with the 'ø', it was there the problem was.

You're welcome. I think you could still use in the standard mode but avoid special char since it is used in the path in Python.
