Hello @ all,

I installed the live version of xbmc 9.11 camelot on usb stick. Nvidia drivers are 190.53. VDPAU is selected in prefs.

My problem is that xbmc is dropping frames and no smooth playback of > 720p files is possible. Maybe I have to do some settings, but under 9.04 and 9.11 RC1 it was no problem.

Do I miss something ? Have anyone the same problem on Asrock Ion 330 ?
At startup I have an error message saying couldn't find strtab and symtab !

Try pressing "Z" and see what Hz you are outputting. After press "O" to see if it playback at the same frames. If they dont fit you will get dropped frames and stuff.

How much cpu are you using while playing a movie?

CPU0 is by 60-90%
Res is 1920x1080 @ 50 Hz

Fps are only 10

Sounds to me that vdpau hasn't kicked in. Are you using the new 9.11 live repacked iso?

Try install the nvidia driver again like in this post:

I usered rc1 and updated via apt-get to final release.
I can't use repack beacuse there is a bug installing it on usb stick.

i have the same issue with windows vista sp2, xbmc 9.11
i have a motherboard with NForce chipset

disinstalling 9.11 and re-installing 9.04 all is going fine.

in my second pc (Vista SP1, geforce 9800GTX+, CPU Q9550) with 9.11 is fine, but i have a powerfull CPU and GPU.

i hope i don't need to buy a better GPU on my first pc, because on 9.04 HD video is very good.

I did the same and it didn't work, re-installed from LIVE re-pack and it works perfectly now...
